Obstetrics and Gynaecology Service(maternity service)

The service deals with diseases affecting the female genitalia, these being can be medical or surgical and is concerned with pregnant women and their future child. It is responsible of dealing with a wide range of issues, including obstetrics, or pregnancy and childbirth, menstruation and fertility issues, sexually transmitted infections, hormone disorders, and others. It is therefore responsible of dealing with medicine and surgery for women, as well as ultrasound for the prenatal diagnosis of certain fetal ailments. Our midwives within help in normal pregnancy, while our obstetrician gynecologists manage pathological pregnancies.

Nemba  District Hospital’s maternity service cares for women during pregnancy and childbirth. It also provides care for newborn infants.
